Akwa Ibom’s N14 Billion World Bank-Assisted Drainage System Set For Completion, Commissioning In December

=== (AGENDAWATCHDOG) === The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel, has assured the 17 flood ravaged communities in Uyo, Ibesikpo and Nsit Ibom councils of the state that the ongoing World Bank-assisted 8 kilometres IBB Drainage system meant to address the menace will be completed and commissioned by December 2021.

The governor gave the assurance on Tuesday to the host communities, during an inspection visit to the project site, lauding the contractors for the speed and quality of the job so far done, reminding the contractors that as a 100 percent pre-funded project, there was no excuse for the work to exceed December 2021.
