Speaking further, Uzodinma intoned that the unsavory state of events in the state in recent weeks was not a reflection of the true character of Imo people, assuring the people that the government was committed to apprehending anyone or group responsible for the ongoing mayhem in the state.

He condoled with the families of those who lost their lives during the recent period of unrest, most especially the family of late Ahmed Gulak, who was killed by gunmen on Sunday morning in Imo State.
