EFCC: Jewelry Recovered From Diezani Alison-Madueke Worth N14.4bn


By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – According to the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, the jewelry recovered from the former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke is worth N14.4 billion.

Bawa made this revelation before the House of Representatives committee on Friday, noting that jewelry forfeited from the former minister was valued by relevant government agencies.

Furthermore, the EFCC boss also disclosed that the estimated value of the houses seized and forfeited from Diezani was $80 million, adding that the forfeited assets were in the custody of the commission and had not been sold.

The House of Reps committee is assessing the status of all recovered loot moveable and immovable assets from 2002-2020 by agencies of government.
