By John Imade (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has accused former Niger governor, Babangida Aliyu, of spying on the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, for the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC.
Wike made this allegation on Monday while speaking at the Government House in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, where he expressed displeasure that the former ruling national party still allowed the former Niger governor to remain in its fold as a member of the National Working Committee, after his confession of sabotaging Jonathan’s Second term bid.
“Aliyu Babangida is a mole in PDP. These are people who get information and in the night, they go to the ruling party (APC) and give them the information,” Wike said.
In April, Aliyu had said governors in the north worked against former President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 election because he reneged on their agreement not to seek another term.
