Jonathan: The World Must Be Neutral In Israel, Palestine Conflict

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan has called on the global community to be neutral in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine.

Jonathan made his views on the searing conflict known via Twitter on Monday, saying the conflict can only be resolved when both Israelis and Palestinians make efforts to understand each other and get to a stage  where they can coexist, co-prosper, and eventually cooperate.

The former President also called on the international community to make efforts towards ensuring a ceasefire in the ongoing face-off between the age long foes.

Approximately 197 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, including at least 58 children, and more than 1,200 wounded, since Israel launched its air campaign against Hamas, a terrorist organisation on May 10, in response to rocket attacks by the group, sparked by unrest in Jerusalem.
