Police Liquidate Several Gunmen Planning Attack On Imo Police Station

By John Imade (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The police have reportedly killed scores of armed men suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in an encounter in Orlu, Imo State.

According to a report by Channels Television,  a police source confirmed that members of the secessionist group were ambushed by a security team on their way to attack the police station in Orlu, the second-largest city in Southeast Nigeria.

The latest attack comes two weeks after a joint operation conducted by a combined team of the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigerian Army and Department of State Services, resulted in the killing of IPOB’s Vice Presidential designate, Commander Ikonso, and six other members of the outlawed group.
