In Just 6 Years APC Has Achieved What PDP Couldn’t Achieve In 16 Years – Yahaya Bello

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, on Tuesday asserted that the incumbent ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), had achieved in 6 years, what former ruling party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) couldn’t achieve throughout its 16 years in power at the center.

Governor Bello, who made this claim during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Tuesday, spoke from the Kogi State Government House, Lokoja.

With the return of democratic governance to Nigeria in 1999, the PDP held the reins of power at the center until 2015 when it was defeated at the general polls by its main opposition, the  APC, whose Presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari,  promised to Fight insecurity, fix the economy and tackle corruption.

However, six years down the lane, the APC-led government has failed to match its promises with commensurate action as the security situation in the country has deteriorated to a crisis stage, with the economy in free-fall, while corruption continues to accelerate at an alarming rate.
