DSS Warns Agents Of Discord Against Provocative Utterances, Violent Conduct

By Oivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Nigeria’s Secret Police, the Department of State Services, has announced its plans to swoop down on agents of discord across the country.

The DSS also said it was working with other security and law enforcement agencies to ensure the maintenance of peace and internal security in the country.

This was contained in a statement on Sunday by its spokesman, Peter Afunanya, in which the intelligence body slammed those, who through their unguided utterances and irresponsible actions, threatened the security of the country, the lives and property of its citizens.

Speaking further Afunaya decried the unpatriotic statements of some religious and past political leaders who have called for a coup and mass uprising against the incumbent government, reminding Nigerians that despite democracy recognizing the freedom of speech, this right was not to abused.
