2000 Hectare Farm Launched In Benue By Nigeria Air Force Investment Limited

=== (AGENDAWATCHDOG) === According to the investment wing of the Nigerian Air Force, the Nigerian Air Force Investment Limited (NAFIL), it has flagged off a 2000 hectare farm at the Tactical Air Command (TAC) Base in Makurdi.

Inaugurating the scheme, the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) TAC, Makurdi, AVM Idi Lubo, noted that Food security was crucial to the survival of humanity and the maintenance of national sovereignty, hence the need to utilize available land for the production of food.

The project is a collaboration between NAFIL and Circum Farms, which will act as the service partner for the project. Approximately 10 crops, including, maize, rice, ginger, cowpeas, yam, cassava, plantain, etc, are expected to be farmed.

PROJECTED IMPACT: The initial project is expected to generate 500 jobs and boost food security in the country
