Abducted Federal University Of Agriculture Students Released


By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Three abducted students of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi (FUAM) have been released, according to the Benue State Command of the Nigerian Police.

Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Catherine Anene, disclosed that the abducted students were released on Tuesday night unhurt and that no ransom was paid.

Waku Rosemary, Director, Information, Protocol and Public Relations of the school also confirmed the release of the students.

The students were abducted from the campus on Saturday while studying at the Engineering Department adjacent to the Theater Hall.

Investigations into the matter are still ongoing, according to the Police.
