PantamiGate: Refusing To Forgive Pantami Is Worse Than Supporting Terrorism – Garba Shehu Tells Minister’s Accusers

By John Imade (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – According to the Presidency’s spokesman, Mr. Garba Shehu, the failure of those calling for the head of the minister of Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Pantami, for his past support of extremist groups are guilty of a more serious offence than supporting terrorism.

Shehu made this submission on Friday during his appearance on Politics Today on Channels Television.

“I am saying to you that people who stand in criticism of this position of the man who said he had wronged himself, he had wronged the society, and has apologised that he has changed, and they are not willing to forgive to move on; they are the ones who are the problem”, Shehu said.

Despite renouncing his comments and saying he was a changed person, the embattled minister has been widely criticized across a large spectrum of the public for his supposed support of violent extremism, with many calling for his immediate sack from Buahri’s cabinet.

But rather than sacking the minister as widely demanded, the Presidency said it was in support of Pantami.
