30 Killed As Bandits Storm Four Zamfara Communities

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – About 30 people were killed when bandits stormed four villages in Zamfara State on Tuesday.

According to local authorities the simultaneous attacks occurred in Gobirawa, Rini, Gora, and Madoti Dankule in Bakura and Maradun LGAs, located in the north-western region of the country.

Witnesses disclosed that the gunmen stormed their targets on motorbikes with guns blazing, resulting in the loss of lives and injuries to scores more, while destroying property and other valuables.

While condemning the attacks, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Nasiru Magarya, sympathized with the victims,  wishing them quick recovery and praying for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives and assuring that the state government would provide succor to them and ensure the deployment of more security personnel in the area.
