Pantami Attends FEC Meeting As FG Continues To Ignore Calls For His Sack


By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami was in attendance at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held on Wednesday, despite raucous calls for his sack.

The meeting was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, while Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, and Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari were in attendance.

Responding to questions from State House Correspondents, sequel to the meeting, who wanted to know the FEC’s position on calls for Pantami’s sack, the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed replied that the issue was not on the agenda of the council meeting.

Pantami has been under fire for his radical views and seeming support for extremist groups, which he has since recanted.
