By Lucky Uwakina (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Jake Paul stunned the boxing world in Atlanta after living up to his own trash talk and knocking out former UFC fighter Ben Askren.
Paul retained his immaculate record since turning to professional boxing, and now has three wins from three inside the ring.
The YouTuber clashed with Askren multiple times in the lead up to the fight, with face-offs before the bout becoming physical. Paul had slammed his opponent and publicly stated he was “not good enough to fight me”.
Now, Paul has enhanced his reputation after sending Askren down to the canvas with just one minute and 20 seconds on the clock.
The 24-year-old caught Askren, 36, with a sweet right-hook which sent the veteran fighter down instantly.
Dazed and dizzy, Askren got back to his feet but failed to convince the referee of his health and so the bout was called almost as soon as it began.
Paul appeared overcome with emotion at the confirmation of his victory, letting out a huge roar before dropping to his knees.
Paul now has three wins from three, following his previous victories against former YouTuber AnEson Gib, former NBA player Nate Robinson and now Askren.
The American YouTuber once again called out UFC superstar Conor McGregor, who obtained a boxing license of his own after switching codes to fight Floyd Mayweather in August 2017.
