Jigawa To Allocate 400, 000 Hectares To Would-Be Investors In Agricultural Sector

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Government of Jigawa State has revealed its plans to allocate about 400,000 hectares of farmland to would-be investors in the State’s agricultural sector.

Jigawa State Governor, Muhammad Badaru, disclosed this at the unveiling off of the tallest national flag, erected at about 50.3 feet, and an inspection tour of the Mallam ALU Integrated Agro-Allied Farm in Birnin Kudu.

The governor also added that some companies developing the state’s agricultural value chain, had already been  allocated 35,000 hectares from the proposed 400,000, citing the Mallam ALU Integrated Agro-Allied Farm as an example of the scheme’s success so far.

PROJETED IMPACT: The initiative will massively boost investments in Jigawa’s agricultural sector, stimulate production of food, strengthen the state’s revenue base, create jobs and create room for export.
