Buhari Doesn’t Owe Nigerians Any Explanation For Seeing His Doctor – Ngige

By Nkoli Opara (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – According to Chris Ngige, Nigeria’s Minister of Labour and Employment, President Muhammadu Buhari owes Nigerians no explanations for traveling abroad for medical consultation.

The minister said this on Friday on Channels TV in response to the plethora of criticism accompanying the President’s trip to London on Thursday, stressing that the President has been travelling on medical leave for more than 40 years and could not stop because he is now a President.

“The President has been going to his doctor for second opinion in the UK for the past forty-something years. Because he is now President of Nigeria, you don’t want him to go?

“I, as little as I am, I go abroad for second opinion for my health, even though I don’t have any underlying disease.

“Buhari has every right to visit his doctors,” he added.

Recall that President Buhari’s trip to London for medical checkup elicited wide condemnations across the country.
