Lagos Plans Construction Of Metro Rail Line At Lekki Free Trade Zone


(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Plans are being hatched by the Lagos State Government to construct a Green Rail line at the Lekki Free Trade Zone.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu disclosed this during a press briefing while on a working visit to Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical facilities with members of the State Executive Council, last weekend.

According Sanwo-Olu, the construction of rail line will complement his government’s infrastructural development initiatives on that axis.

PROJECTED IMPACT: The rail line will raise transportation capacity in and out of the commercial corridor. The development will create jobs for the youth population and be a catalyst for the local economy.
