APC’s Plan To Retain Power For 36 Years Is An Affront, Will Be Resisted By Nigerians- PDP

By Nkoli Opara (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The claim by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC,  that it planned holding on to the reins of power at the center for 36 years, has been slammed by the former ruling party, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.

Reacting via a statement by its spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan, the PDP described as ‘spiteful bragging’the APC’s claim, adding that it is an affront on Nigerians, who were tired of the APC’s misrule and were primed to vote it out of power in 2023.

According to the party, the APC ought to know that Nigerians have never been and will never be suppressed or conquered by any political interest, noting that if the country was to go into a midterm election, the APC would be comprehensively beaten as it would not get up to 20 percent of the total votes cast, adding that Nigerians, having suffered under APC’s misrule, could not afford to allow it remain in power.

The Chairman of the APC’s Caretaker-Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee and Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, had disclosed on Tuesday during a press conference in Abuja that the ruling party was working towards retaining power for another 36 years
