FG Pursuing Recovery Of More Looted Ibori, Abacha Assets – Malami

By John Imade (AGENDWATCHDOG) – The Attorney-General of the Federation, Mr. Abubakar Malami, has disclosed that the Federal Government was pursuing the recovery of more illegally acquired assets belonging to one-time Governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori.

This came in the wake of the announcement on Tuesday of the recovery of £4.2 million recovered from Mr. Ibori and his cohorts.

Malami, who also doubles as the Minister of Justice, disclosed this on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where he said that the looted Ibori assets being investigated were in the region of over £100 million.

Malami also disclosed that efforts were also being made to recover another component of the assets looted by a former military dictator, Sani Abacha worth over $100Miillion.
