1-.The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has a notorious suspected drug trafficker, Hassan Taiwo, with three parcels of cocaine concealed in a false bottom created in his suitcase.Mr Femi Babafemi, who is the Director of Media and Advocacy at the agency, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.

2-.Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, has again secured the release of ten kidnapped victims without ransom. The victims who had been in captivity for over three months and two weeks said they were abducted in the Gwaram community of Talata Mafara Local Government Area of the state.

3-.Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has taken his first dose of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine The governor took the vaccine at the Governor’s office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the state capital.

4-.Lebanese protesters set up new road blocks Tuesday to vent anger over political inaction in the face of deepening poverty, but security forces managed to re-open some to traffic. The country has been mired in economic crisis, which has brought surging unemployment and spiralling prices while the currency has plunged to a new low to the dollar on the black market.

5-.An Abuja High Court has remanded a former Minister of State for Power, Mohammed Wakil, in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of corruption. Wakil, who was arrested by the EFCC at his Abuja residence on Sunday, was arraigned on Monday before Justice Suleiman Belgore on two counts bordering on corruption and abuse of office.

6-.The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja has reserved judgment in the appeal filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its chieftain, Williams Edobor, challenging the certificate presented by Governor Godwin Obaseki to contest the 2020 governorship election in Edo State. A three-man panel of justices of the appellate court made the reservation after listening to arguments from both parties on Monday in the nation’s capital.

7-.A Brazilian Supreme Court judge on Monday overturned the graft convictions against former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, clearing the way for the left-wing leader to run in the 2022 presidential election. Justice Edson Fachin overturned all four convictions against the still-popular ex-president (2003-2010) stemming from a probe into a massive corruption scheme centered on Brazilian state oil company Petrobras, ruling the court that issued them lacked jurisdiction.

8-.The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has declared that his administration will do everything possible to prevent any miscarriage of justice. He stated this on Monday in reaction to the recent arrest of some members of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) and an alleged ethnic warlord, Iskilu Wakili, in the Kajola area of Ibarapa North Local Government Area of the state.

9-.A Kano-born young lady, Saadat Aliyu has developed an android application ‘Helpio App’ for reporting cases of sexual abuse. ‘Helpio App’ was launched on August 6, 2020, on Playstore.

10-.Former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, has said that Nigeria is more divided under the All Progressives Congress–led Federal Government. He stated this on Monday during the commissioning of Rumuji-Ibaa-Obele-Isiokpo road in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.
