Gov Okowa Seeks Collaboration With NIMASA In Maritime

AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Delta State Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, on Thursday, announced the State Government’s plans to collaborate with Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) to develop the state’s maritime potential.

The governor, who disclosed this when the Director-General of NIMASA, Dr Bashir Jamoh and his management team visited him at Government House, Asaba, commended the management of the agency for reaching out to stakeholders in the littoral states in its determination to develop the maritime sector.

According to Okowa, the take-off of the Maritime University in Okerenkoko, restored peace to the Niger Delta, promising that the state government would continue to invest in the development of the institution, commending NIMASA for the its contributions to the growth of the state, but called for more from the body.
