Governor Okowa Inspects Storm Drainage Projects In Warri, Effurun


(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa of Delta State, has stated that the storm drainage projects being executed by the State Government in parts of Warri and Effurun would be ready in 2022.

The governor stated this while speaking to newsmen shortly after inspecting the flood control projects which are ongoing in the areas.

“The contractors are on course and with the rate of work done we will be able to finish the project sometime in 2022 as we were not able to keep to time because of #COVID19 and the lockdown,” Governor Okowa said.

PROJECTED IMPACT: The drainage projects, when completed, will help check flooding in Effurun and Warri areas, reducing their ravaging effects on the environment and residents.
