Presidency Assures Of Improved National Security

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – In response to the escalating state of insecurity in the country, the Presidency has assured Nigerians that efforts are in top gear to arrest the ugly trend.

This assurance was given by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday, who added that his principal was doing all that was humanly possible to arrest the negative security situation in the country.

Adesina added that, having promised in 2015 and 2019 respectively to secure the lives and property of Nigerians, President Buhari was focused on redeeming his vow to Nigerians, adding that his principal would be convening a security meeting today at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Nigeria is currently facing serious security threats ranging from kidnappings to banditry, terrorism to other acts of violence by armed groups, terrorists and other extremist and criminal groups.
