Insecurity: 18 Killed As Bandits Attack Three LGAs In Kaduna


By John Imade (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – According to the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, Bandits have killed no fewer than 18 people in Giwa, Chikun and Igabi local government areas of Kaduna State, which have beenunder constant attacks by bandits in recent times.

Aruwan confirmed the incident via a statement on Wednesday, adding that gunmen attacked Anaba village in Igabi local government area, killing seven people, whose name were given as Ali Musa, Isa Sharehu, Tijjani Isa, Auwalu Shehu, Hashim Abdullahi, Hassan Saidu and Umar Rilwanu.

Also attacked were Barinje village in Chikun local government area, which resulted in the killing of eight persons, including Sunday Gwamna, Lawal Jizo, Salha Barau, Sabo Barau, Umaru Barau, Muhammadu Dan Azumi, Zailani Dogara and Jikan Gambo; the Kwarten Rigasa, Kwarten Waziri and Kwarten Shaku communities in Igabi local government area; and the Sanhu Makera village in Birnin Yero of Igabi local government area.

Several houses in the community were razed, bans looted, while about 20 cows were rustled during the attacks, while scores of individuals suffered varying degrees of injuries.
