Gov Wike: Nigerians Disappointed By Senate’s Confirmation Of Ex-Service Chiefs As Ambassadors

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – River State Governor, Nyesom Wike,  says the upper legislative arm of the National Assembly, the Senate, had left Nigerians bemused by confirming the immediate past service chiefs as ambassadors.

Wike made his views on the matter known when the Senate Committee on Niger Delta, led by its chairman, Peter Nwaoboshi, paid him a visit at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, where he lamented that the same lawmakers who had earlier called for the sack of the same Service Chiefs on the grounds of incompetence in the handling of the country’s security, were the same people that confirmed their nomination due to partisan political considerations.
