NRC Acquires 3,000 Pairs of Aba-Made Boots From Enyimba Shoe Factory

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Enyimba Automated Shoe Factory, Aba has made its first delivery for the year 2021 after it successfully produced and delivered 3,000 pairs of solid work boots to the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC).

Receiving the boots from ENASCO, Executive Director Marketing, Adaku Oseiza, Managing Director, Nigerian Railway Corporation, Mr. Fidet Okhiria expressed excitement and satisfaction at the impressive and unique nature of the boots.

The MD applauded Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for his efforts in promoting #MadeInAba, nay, #MadeInNigeria products and assured of continuous patronage.

Following Executive Order 5, which mandates all government entities to give preference to Nigerian companies, the Nigeria Police Force and the Nigerian Armed Forces procured boots from the factory in 2020, while the Independent National Electoral Commission now produce their ballot boxes in Aba.

PROJECTED IMPACT: The gesture by the NRC will encourage local patronage of made in Nigeria products, as charity should begin at home. The high quality of Aba shoes, which are said to be superior to Chinese shoes, also creates room to explore the international market.
