COVID-19: Shock As Nurse Tests Positive After Taking Vaccine


By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Reports have it that an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse in the United States tested positive for COVID-19, after taking Pfizer Inc. vaccine shot on December 18.

Speaking to ABC News San Diego affiliate KGTV, Matthew W., 45, a health worker, recalled that after receiving the injection, he only experienced arm soreness, but that Six days later, following a shift in the COVID-19 unit, he started experiencing muscle pains and tiredness, leading to a coronavirus test which came out positive.

However, Dr. Christian Ramers, an infectious disease expert, of the Family Health Centre of San Diego, has proffered an explanation for the strange occurrence, allaying fears about the situation, saying that it was already established from clinical trials that it would take 10 to 14 days for vaccine recipients to develop protection against the virus as the first dose gives around 50 percent protection, adding that and one needed a second dose to get up to 95 per cent, he disclosed to KGTV.

On how the nurse contacted the virus, he said it was possible that the nurse became infected before taking the vaccine.
