Edo Poll: Comrade Shaibu Warns Adams Oshiomhole Against Subverting The Popular Will

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu has warned a former National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, to desist from his plans to subvert the popular mandate given to Governor Godwin Obaseki at the recently held September 2020 Governorship Election, through the instrumentality of the Judiciary.

The Deputy Governor gave this warning during an empowerment programme for Afemai Youths in Ogbona and Jattu respectively, reaffirming his confidence in the judiciary’s impartiality and neutrality, as well as President Muhammadu Buhari’s commitment to protecting the nation’s democracy from abuse.

Shaibu accused Oshiomhole, who was a one-time governor of the state of being instrumental to the Supreme Court victory of Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, which he was trying to replicate in Edo State.
