2023: My Rumoured Interest In The Presidency Is A Distraction – Yahaya Bello

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State says, calls for him to contest in the forthcoming 2023 presidential election was nothing but a distraction.

According to Bello, he was more focused on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of Kogi State, through improved security, economic development and youth engagement, rather than on the 2023 presidency.

The governor disclosed this on Monday via a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Nnogwu Sani Mohammed, at the ongoing security and economic summit of the Northcentral Governors Forum in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.

Bello’s ability to curb insecurity in Kogi State and check youth unemployment has been hailed across the state, leading to calls for him to join the 2023 presidential race.
