‘If I Wasn’t Educated, I Wouldn’t Have Become President’, Buhari Admonishes Kankara Boys To Focus On Education

By Lucky Uwakina  (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – During a meeting with the released 344 students of Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, Katsina State, on Friday, President Muhammadu Buhari took time to appeal to them to focus on their academic pursuits in order for them to achieve their goals in life.

Buhari, who was speaking at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Katsina State, advised the students against being deterred by their recent ordeals, but to remain focused on pursuing their goals of acquiring a good education, using his journey to becoming Nigeria’s President as a classic case of the rewards of a good education.

He also assured the students that efforts would be made to upgrade the country’s security architecture.

“If I wasn’t educated, I will not be standing here today in front of you. I schooled in Katsina for nine years. I moved on to join the army, served as a governor, Head of State, went to prison, came out, and later joined politics.

“I contested presidential elections three times, and finally I was declared a winner in 2015,” he was quoted as saying in a statement by his media aide, Garba Shehu.
