Katsina School Attack: The Number of Abducted Students Can’t Be Ascertained Yet, Says Katsina Governor


By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The number of students abducted by armed bandits from the Government Science Secondary School in Ƙanƙara Local Government Area of Katsina State, is yet to be ascertained, according to the State Governor, Aminu Masari, who made this known on Saturday.

Armed men had stormed Government Science Secondary School in Ƙanƙara Local Government Area of the state on Friday night, causing pandemonium as students, teachers, and other members of staff scampered for safety.

While some of the staff said there were 884 students in the school at the time of the attack, the governor, during a media chat on Saturday said 426 students have been counted as safe. The governor also said that the army was in hot pursuit of the armed men and were making efforts to rescue the abducted students
