Another Round Of #EndSARS Protests Would Be Premature, Counter-productive – Yahaya Bello

By John Imade (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has expressed alarm at reports that another round of #EndSARS protests were underway.

Bello made this known via a Sunday broadcast, where he warned that another round of protests could be inimical to the well-being of Nigerians and the stability of the country as it might be hijacked by unruly elements.

He urged Nigerian youths to approach the #EndSARS panels instituted across the country to investigate case of police brutality and human rights abuses to air their grievances rather than allow unscrupulous Nigerians to use them for their selfish purposes.

“I deem another round of #EndSARS protests to be premature and counter-productive at this time,” Bello said. “Apart from the higher likelihood of conflict with the police earlier canvassed, we must also admit that the security situation in the country is very precarious at the moment.

“All patriots must therefore make conscious efforts not to degrade a parlous security situation further.”
