Nigeria Has Become More Dangerous To Live In Under Buhari, War On terrorism Is Far From Over – Northern Elders

By Nkoli Opara (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – In the wake of killing of 43 rice farmers in Zabarmari, Borno State, by suspected Boko Haram elements, the Northern Elders Forum have lambasted the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration for the worsening state of insecurity in the country.

This was made known by the spokesperson of the forum, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, while appearing on Channels Television on Wednesday, where he called on President Buhari to resign, having failed as the country’s Commander-in-Chief.

According to Baba-Ahmed, Nigeria was losing the war against terrorism in the north-east due to the inability of the Buhari-led government to decisively defeat Islamist terrorist group, Boko Haram, which has become more emboldened in its confrontations with Nigerian military forces, adding that having failed to perform the job for which he was elected, the president should resign.

Continuing, he said that Nigeria had become more dangerous under the President Buhari-led federal government, noting that the country’s military was being overwhelmed by armed groups in the north-east and north-west, couple with its engagement in other conflict theatres across the country.
