#Industrialization: FG, Jigawa To Partner To Establish Industrial Hub In Gagarawa

 (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Federal AND Jigawa State governments are set to establish an industrial hub adjacent to the newly commissioned Gagarawa Power station.

This was stated by Governor Muhammed Badaru, during the commissioning ceremony of a new 2 x 60 MVA, 132/33KV transmission substation at Gagarawa Local Government Area.

The governor disclosed that the station would be utilised for the supply of electricity to a proposed future industrial hub, noting that the state has over the years suffered from the non-existence of any industries that could provide jobs and economic growth of both the people and the state.

Abubakar reaffirmed the resolve of both the federal and Jigawa state governmens to commissioned power substation, which had been stalled since conception.

PROJECTED IMPACT: The project is expected to boost the supply of electricity to several local government areas of Jigawa State, vastly improve the production capacity of the industries in the state, create jobs and stimulate the state’s general economic growth.
