Magugate: CCB Summons Suspended Acting EFCC Tsar, Magu

By Lucky Uwakina (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) has summoned Ibrahim Magu, the suspended acting Tsar of the country’s apex anti-corruption watchdog, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to appear before it on November 17 with documents of all his landed properties.

Magu’s summons was contained in a letter dated November 2 and signed by CCB’s Director of Intelligence, Investigation and Monitoring, in which the former EFCC boss was asked to produce acknowledgement slips of all the asset declarations he made since he joined public service, including documents of certified true copies, alongside copies of his appointment letter, acceptance, records of service and pay slips from January to May 2020, and documents pertaining to both his developed and undeveloped landed properties.

Magu was suspended from office in the wake of investigations into allegations of official misconduct and misappropriation of recovered looted assets brought against him by petitioners.
