Governor Godwin Obaseki To Be Sworn-In For Second Tenure On Thursday


By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Following his victory at the September Gubernatorial Poll in Edo State, Governor Godwin Nogeghase Obaseki will be sworn-in for his second term as the state’s Chief Executive Officer on Thursday, November 12, 2020.

The event, which is set to commence from 11 am at the Ogbe Hard Court, will have in attendance top government officials from across the country, captains of industry, traditional rulers, religious leaders, members of the academia, the diplomatic corps et.al.

Governor Obaseki, who is of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) defeated his closest rival, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All progressives Congress (APC) and other contestants at the November poll.

Obaseki had acrimoniously decamped from the APC, following his disqualification from contesting in the governorship primaries of the APC, which had giving him the ticket that brought him to office In 2016,  to the PDP, which gave him the ticket with which he pursued and won his second tenure in Dennis Osadebey Avenue..
