NIPC, Nigeria Governors’ Forum Strengthen Partnership

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Executive Secretary/CEO, of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commmission (NIPC), Ms Yewande Sadiku, recently had a parley with the Director General of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), with a view to deepening the cordial relationship with the NGF led by Mr Asishana Okauru, (Esq) and explore further institutional cooperation to accelerate investments at the sub-national level, following the recent publication of the Book of States (BoS), which both agencies collaborated on.

Sadiku stated that the BoS was only a foundation for other initiatives to support the generation of domestic direct investments (DDI) which will further encourage foreign direct investments (FDI).

The meeting discussed plans to serialize the Book of States in the NIPC Intelligence Newsletter soon to give more visibility to the investment prospects of each State. The meeting also discussed collaboration on reviving moribund stated-owned enterprises, elevating visibility of successful companies and boosting up economic activities in the states.

POTENTIAL IMPACT: The collaboration will strengthen the ties between the two strategic partners as it has the potential of further accelerating investments at the sub-national level
