Lagos Govt Orders Public Servants Back To Work After Seven Months

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – All public servants in Lagos State have been asked by the state government to resume work, seven months after they were ordered to work from home consequent to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.

The resumption order was contained in a circular (with reference number CIR/HOS/20/Vol.1/115 and dated October 30, 2020) issued by Mr Hakeem Muri-Okunola, the Head of Service in the state, and obtained by Agenda watchdog on Saturday.

Public servants expected to resume work, according to the circular, are those on salary grade levels 1 – 12, who have been working from home since March.
