Lekki Toll Gate Shooting: Amnesty’s Report Is Unsubstantiated – Presidency

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, has carpeted the report by Amnesty International on the Lekki shootings, which blamed the government for the incident, calling it unsubstantiated and mischievous.

Adesina, who is President Muhammadu Buhari’s Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, made the above assertion on Channels Television on Thursday, where he said that Amnesty’s report on the Lekki incident was full of holes.

According to Adsina, the Presidency had a more factual view of things happening in the country than Amnesty, adding that the looting and rioting were not caused by the military shootings because there was already violence prior to the Lekki incident, accusing Amnesty of always making unsubstantiated reports about Nigeria.
