Kwara Police Command Dismisses Six Officers For Misconduct

By Lilian Ogbonna (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Six Police officers have been dismissed by the Kwara State Police Command for various forms of official misconduct, while several others were served various forms of sanction.

This was disclosed by the State Commissioner of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, on Thursday during an interface with the leadership of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN), Tricycle Owners Association of Nigeria (TOAN), Hotel Owners Association, Okada Riders Association, Students’ Union Leaders, and Human Rights Activists in the state.

The state police boss said there has not been any case of police brutality, extrajudicial killing or highhandedness, imploring the stakeholders to impress it upon their members on the need to maintain existing peace in the state.
