#EndSARS: OPC Warns Hoodlums To Stop Looting, Destruction Of Properties

By Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) has warned hoodlums to cease the destruction of properties in the South-West region of the country, threatening that if they refused it might be forced to enforce compliance.

This was disclosed in a statement signed on Friday by Wasiu Afolabi, Deputy President to the late Founder, Dr Frederick Fasehun after a meeting by OPC executives in Lagos, where the group also deplored the shooting of protesters at the Lekki Tollgate, urging President Muhammadu Buhari and Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwoolu to establish investigative bodies to ascertain the remote and immediate causes of the incident.

The OPC noted that the #EndSARS protests, which was initially peaceful, had been hijacked by mobs who were hiding under the canopy of the movement to spread mayhem, with the intention of destroying the economic basis of the South West region, calling on both the government and protesters to seek for a peaceful resolution of the issues at stake, urging the government to accede to the demands of the protesters by speeding up the reformation of the police force.
