COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Reports 113 New Cases, Total Confirmed Cases Now 61, 307


(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – One hundred and thirteen new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) infections have been confirmed in Nigeria, taking total confirmed cases of the disease to 61, 307, according to the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its latest update on the disease, which announced this via its verified twitter handle late on Saturday night.

Breakdown of the fresh cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria, which are spread across 13 states of the federation, including the FCT, is as follows: Lagos-37 Kaduna-16 Ogun-11 Plateau-11 Taraba-8 Rivers-7 FCT-6 Enugu-4 Niger-4 Edo-3 Delta-2 Imo-2 Benue-1 Kano-1.

Out of the 61,307 confirmed cases of COVID-19 infections in Nigeria, 56,557 have been treated and discharged, while 1,123 fatalities have been recorded since the outbreak of the pandemic.
