COVID-19 BRIEFS: Nigeria Records 212 Fresh Cases, Total Cases Now 61, 194


(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday confirmed 212 new cases of COVID-19 in the country, taking total confirmed cases to 61, 194..

According to the NCDC, which disclosed this via a tweet on Friday, the breakdown of the fresh cases, which were spread across eight states of the federation, is as follows:  Lagos-85; Oyo-72; FCT-21; Ogun and Plateau-11 each; Katsina-6; Kaduna-5 and Osun.

Out of the total confirmed 61, 194 cases of COVID-19 infections in Nigeria,  a total number of 52,304 cases have been successfully treated and discharged, while 1, 119 fatalities have been s far recorded since the outbreak of the pandemic.
