#ENDSWAT: Five Must-Know Facts About The Tactical Unit

Despite the proscription of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) by the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, and its replacement with a new unit known as the Tactical Unit or Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team, nationwide protests have continued as Nigerians, skeptical of the new arrangement, continue demanding for comprehensive police reforms.

Reacting to the widespread pessimism across the country that the new unit may amount to a mere change of guards, the police has moved to assure Nigerians that the Tactical Unit and SARS are different.
