COVID-19 BRIEFS: NCDC Confirms 179 New Cases In Nigeria, Taking Total National Toll To 60, 834

(AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed late on Wednesday night that Nigeria had recorded 179 fresh cases of COVID-19 infections, taking total confirmed cases of the virus to 60, 834.

Breakdown of the fresh COVID-19 infections, which are spread across 13 states of the federation, including the FCT, is as follows: Lagos-116, Anambra-20; FCT-9; Oyo -9; Rivers – 9 ; Delta -3; Nasarawa-3; Edo-2; Kaduna-2; Ogun -2; Plateau-2; Ekiti-1 and Osun-1.

Out of the total 60, 834 cases of COVID-19 infections so far recorded in Nigeria since the outbreak of the pandemic, 52,143 have been treated and discharged, while 1,116 fatalities have been sadly recorded..
