BREAKING: #EndSWAT Protesters Storm National Assembly


Franca Joseph (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – #EndSARS Protesters have stormed the National Assembly, in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), as the nationwide agitations for the cmprejensive reforms of the continue to escalate, despite the Proscription of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad by the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.

The protesters arrived the assembly complex brandishing placards, singing solidarity songs, demanding police reforms and probe of the extra-judicial actions by operatives of the proscribed unit.

Protests have been ongoing across the country in the last one week by Nigerians calling for an end to harassment, extortion, and extrajudicial killings by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria Police Force, resulting in the proscription of the unit by Inspector General of Police, Mohammed  Adamu.
