We Shall Remain Committed To Delivering The Dividends Of Democracy To The Electorate – Akeredolu Reacts To His Return

By Olivia Isibor (AGENDAWACTHDOG) – Consequent to his resounding victory at the October 10, 2020 poll, Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has promised to continue working in the interest of the popular sovereigns who gave him a second term in office.

Akeredolu was speaking while addressing the media and supporters at his Owo residence on Sunday, saying his administration will work assiduously towards justifying the people’s trust in him by continuing to be transparent and accountable in the discharge of his duties to them with a focus on setting the state on the path of progress and development.

The returned governor, thanked his party, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), and commended  President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other national leaders of the party for their support and promotion of democratic ideals in the country.

Akeredolu polled 292,830 votes to best his closest rivals for the diadem, Jegede and Mr Agboola Ajayi of the Zenith Labour Party, who polled 195,791 and 69,127 votes, respectively to come second and third.
