IPOB: Nobody Should Die In The Quest For Biafra – Uma Ukpai

By Lillian Ogbonna (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Rev. Dr Uma Uma, founder of Ukpai Evangelistic Association, has taking another swipe at the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB and others agitating for a Sovereign State of Biafra, by stating that the struggle was not worth the life of any individual.

Rev. Ukpai, who was speaking in reaction to questions from journalists on his stance on the quest for Biafra and other related issues of national concern, in Uyo Akwa Ibom State, called on Biafra agitators to be responsible in their approach to ensure that no lives were lost, dismissing insinuations in some sections of the media that he as anti-Biafra, adding that he was both a Biafran and a Nigerian who only wanted a peaceful resolution of the issues at stake.

According to Ukpai, “Rev. Ukpai is a Nigerian; he is also a Biafran. He is one man in three places. I said that the Biafran boys agitating are Nigerians. But when you think of harming your brother, then it is crazy. Every Biafran as at today is a Nigerian until they are handed the flag of their independence. Every man who calls himself a Biafran today is a Nigerian.

“We should agitate for whatever we want without killing anybody. I had said that before and I’m saying it again that Nigerians love each other; it is only the leaders that are spoiling for war. So don’t destroy a life you cannot replace because of agitation.”
