Ize-Iyamu: I Won’t Contest Edo Poll Result In Court For The Sake Of Peace

By Lucky Uwakina (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, says he would no longer contest the outcome of the Edo State Governorship Election in Court.

Iye-Iyamu made this known via a personally signed statement, in which he stated that despite the discrepancies that accompanied the September 19 poll, which would have been strong grounds for litigation, he had, however, decided to let go and give peace a chance.

Mr. Ize-Iyamu, however, said that he would be challenging the eligibility of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) banner bearer, Godwin Obaseki to contest the election, which he said “are all lawful and integral parts of the electoral process in any democracy, which we must all respect and acknowledge as genuine democrats”.
