Bishop Oyedepo: It Would Be A Big Demotion For Me To Become Nigeria’s President

By Lucky Uwakina (AGENDAWATCHDOG) – Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, aka Winners Chapel, says it would be a huge demotion if asked to become the country’s President as he had a much higher calling than being the leader of just one country.

According to Oyedepo, who was speaking in his church, he would reject any invitation to become Nigeria’s head of government  as he was already occupying a position that was much more prestigious than that of a mortal President, adding hundreds of nations hooked on to just one church service conducted by him.

According to the revered clergyman, he was pointedly asked by God in 1984 whether he wanted to be preseident.

In his words: “I’m saying it again, some are very upset about it, that’s their problem. I will consider it a demotion if I were invited to be the President of this great country.

“It’s a great country, it’s a great honour for anyone to be President but that’s not where I belong. I belong to above all nations.”
